Absolutely not! You should never give your dog anything that the vet hasn't agreed too. If your dog should bark during the night or cry through the night keeping you awake then you need to be trained along with your pet. Dogs generally want to be close to one member of the family so there is no harm in letting the dog sleep in a doggy bed or warm blanket beside your bed. That's better than getting no sleep if this should be the reason.
Only if it is a sleeping pill your VET has PRESCRIBED for THAT dog. Dogs do not work the same way people do- just like cats do not work the same way dogs do and birds do not work the same way guinea pigs do.
Even for the few medications which can be given to both humans and animals, the dosages are very different. Also, medication which has been prescribed to one dog may be very bad for another, just like how I may be able to take a medication which is very bad for you or vise versa.
never ever give your dog a sleeping pill for that could hurt the dog and maybe even kill it! if you want to cut your dogs hair put it on a leash and tie it to something and cut cut cut! or maybe just take it to the dog barbors!

Not unless they have samples in their clinic. They can, however, write you a script for sleeping pill.
The sleeping pill overdose is very common and very simply avoided. Sleeping pill overdoses are caused by taking more than the recommended dose.
