Can you give a sentence for fiasco?

Fiasco means a shambles, a defeat so complete that it is almost like a comedy. It comes from the French.

"The dinner party was a fiasco, the meat was a cinder, and the dessert was bitter."

"Napoleon's battle of Waterloo was a fiasco for the French monarch."
