You have to pick a major that you will like. Someone once said that if you pick a job you like, you will never have to work a day in your life. They mean that you will enjoy it so much that it won't seem like work. Unless you already know what you will be doing for a career, I would suggest waiting until your have finished your freshman year of college before you make a decision in regards to your major. That way you will get to see other careers and pick one. There are a lot of good schools out there. You need to pick one that fits your needs and goals. I have a child at East Carolina University in North Carolina and another at Appalachian State University also in North Carolina. Both are good schools. There are a lot to pick from. Also look to see who will give you scholarships.
