Subject pronouns, such as "I," "you," "he," "she," "it," "we," and "they," are typically marked by their position at the beginning of a sentence and by their function as the subject performing the action of the verb. When using subject pronouns, it is important to ensure agreement between the pronoun and the verb in number and person.
The boy with the red shoes plays basketball every afternoon. She and her friends are going to the park later today.
Where are you going? Where is the subject in this sentence?
Some say it isn't really - many languages lack the variations in form that make agreement necessary. As far as using English is concerned, agreement might be compared to wearing matching socks: unmatched socks will cover the feet but they look silly; while disagreeing verbs and subjects may be cover the meaning, but they sound stupid.
It depends if you are using it as a subject or an object. The subject is "he and I" the object is "him and me" Examples: Sub.: He and I went to the park Object: Do you want to go to the park with him and me?
In correct grammar in the Spanish language, subject-verb agreement is similar to that of English. However, Spanish is a bit more complicated. Every verb has six forms which must agree in person (1st person, 2nd person, 3rd person) and number (singular or plural). Nouns in Spanish are often of different gender, too, but it doesn't affect subject-verb agreement. In English, we would say "I walk," "He (or she) walks," "They walk," or "We walk." In Spanish, one would say, "Yo camino," "Tú caminas," "Él camina," "Ellos caminan," or "Nosotros caminamos." Another agreement would be "Vosotros camináis," but is much less common than in years past. So, subject-verb agreement in Spanish simply refers to using the proper form of the verb, appropriate for the subject, when writing or speaking, to be correct. Speaking with correct subject-verb agreement, using proper tense and word order, and avoiding run-on sentences are examples of maintaining grammatical accuracy while speaking. Maintaining clarity and coherence in speech also contributes to grammatical accuracy.
The verb has to match with the subject, which in this case is "you," however "have" is not the only part of the verb, since this is a question using "where did" "did" is a part of the verb. "You did have" is the correct subject/verb agreement, so "have" is the word you should use.
