Gravity would keep you in place if you were just hanging there. Without gravity you would have nothing to keep you in place and you probably would be able to simply hover and 'travel the world' as the planet rotated.
No, because the rotational speed of the Earth is much faster than most objects can travel. Even if you could float above the Earth's surface, you would still be moving at the same rotational speed as the planet. To complete a full orbit around the Earth, you would need to travel faster than the rotational speed, which is not possible by simply floating.
Because it just does.
Asthenosphere
Tectonic Plates are the ground. They are large slabs of earth that float on top of the magma.
Asthenosphere
Nonpolar molecules that have a lower density than that of water (<1g/mL) will float above water.

every thing would float around.
Earth`s move around
Asthenosphere
The tectonic plates, part of the lithosphere, move around and float on the top of the asthenosphere.

We can't float on Earth because of gravity.

float
Everyone and everything would be everywhere. We would float around. In other words there wouldn't be no life.
