YES! I have scoliosis-I am a graduate of the Air Force Academy, I am a professional pilot, and I have scoliosis. It requires a waiver and is a black and white issue-in other words, if your curve is less than X you are good, if not you are not and they will not give you the waiver.
No
I was diagnosed with scoliosis when I was 11 and went to the doctor every 6 months. When I was 13 I was told that the curve was only 8. If the curve is 10 degrees and under then you are OK and your scoliosis has basically gone away. So to answer your question scoliosis does go away.
Yes.......................
If you can meet the qualifications for the school after you get out of the Air Force you can go to it. Some schools have programs for Veterans and their families but you still have to meet their standards.
