You can. Just click on chat and click on anyone you want to talk to. It may be a bit dodgy when you even wan to scroll down, it may not display all the facebook stuff, because its diffrent from using the computer. (same way you use a computer use the cross arrows on your DSi to move the arrow on your right what it says chat)
