Sorry, but you can't. you can only go to Johto (that's where you live) and Kanto after you beat the elite 4. Honestly, it would be cool to be able to go to Hoenn, but I don't know why they didn't make it that way.

You cannot go to the Hoenn region in Pokemon Heart Gold and Soul Silver. Just because you get a Hoenn starter from Steven Stone (Hoenn League Champion) doesn't mean you go to the Hoenn region.

Sadly, no, you cannot go to Hoenn (THE BEST REGION EVA!) in Pokemon Heartgold and Soulsilver. If you want all the cool Hoenn Pokemon, I would recommend purchasing an Emerald, Sapphire or Ruby. These games can be played either in a GBA (game boy advanced) or the second compartement in a DS lite.

No. The only 2 regions you can go to in Heart Gold and Soul Silver are the Johto and Kanto regions. However, you do meet Steven twice and obtain a Hoenn starter Pokemon. Also, you can find Latios/Latias as roaming Pokemon after meeting Steven for the first time.(Soul Silver=Latios, Heart Gold=Latias.)
