No, you cannot go to private school or regular school with your kids.
If you have The Sims 2 University expansion pack installed with your game, you can send your teens to college, where they were become young adults, and go to the university with them and guide them through it. Upon graduation or being expelled from college they will then become adult Sims. Or, you can go to the sims2.com and go to Exchange and click lots. Then search schools in the left hand side. When you found the one you want(make sure its on the computer you use sims) click download. if you don't want to save it to your computer just click run. when it's downloaded a blue box will pop up (you don't have read it if you don't want to) then click ok or whatever it says.

∙ 13y agoWii Version: You can sort of go inside the building. When you get to school, you go inside and choose the actions of your choice. But if you choose something bad, then you will get subtracted points. You don't actually get to go in classrooms and see friends, but you get to choose what you do in school.
