Actually, it is safe to take a certain amount of a Benzo while on Suboxone, although this is based Only on how much Sub you are taking and how much Opiates you were taking before. its basically the amount of Sub Prescribed among other things you are Prescribed as well. Another thing to remember is that Alcohol is bad news while on Sub, unless it is in small moderation and not daily a few beers is fine, So DON'T ABUSE IT!!. I am Prescribed 90 1 mg of Klonopin a month and 15 8mg strips, my Doc recommended to take the Sub in the Morning and at night my K's and Temazepam for sleep. 100% safe. Be sure to watch your intake. Sub is very Dangerous and Beneficial at the same time. So follow your Scrip directions. Good Luck to all out there suffering from dependence. I have family and close friend who have become addicts because of accidents etc..etc..and Pain Med's are there only hope for pain relief. I am currently being Prescribed it for Pain Management. I have a few slip disks and surgery on my foot which is painful and Arthritis. I will Honestly tell you that I am a recovering addict as well and Suboxone saved my life. Its a miracle drug if you ask me.. I have also Withdrawal from it before and the DT's are usually very mild. a brain zap every now n then or diarrhea. So even while on Sub to always stay hydrated. I hope this will help anyone who well, maywanna know. since I am on low doses of Sub the results may be a lot different than yours. so be careful.. Good Luck..

∙ 12y agoNo it will not work at all I have tried just take Motrin before hand and do not use gas that will make you very very sick. You should tell your dentist what you are on and see what they suggest but do not listen to what others may say it does not work and the gas will make you sick.

How long does it take for novocaine to wear off?
Individual patients vary. It also depends on the length of time or the patients pain threshold as to how much Novocaine the dentist gives them and what procedure the dentist is doing. Therefore, the freezing can come out in a matter of 15 minutes when you walk out of the dentist's office or take a couple of hours. I just had some work done on my teeth and more often than not the freezing is out before 1/2 an hour of leaving my dentist's office, but, I did have some extensive work done on a couple of teeth (had more Novocaine) and found my mouth was still frozen after an hour. I realized if I had tea (or for some people they prefer coffee) I would check it with my finger just so it was hot, but not hot enough to burn my mouth and after sipping on the tea it helped the freezing leave sooner. So now, if I have to go to the dentist and have more Novocaine than usual I'll come home and drink my tea.There isn't the slightest chance that sipping tea will physiologically hasten the wearing off of novocaine. Any sense of change perceived from sipping anything is purely psychological. The effect of novocaine can and usually does last two to three hours. I hope no one actually thinks anything is 'frozen.'

No, you will not go into withdrawls, however, it would be a waste of Diluadid since Suboxone is an opiod-blocker and keeps you from getting high off of any opiate. But if you were taking Dilaudid and then immediately began taking Suboxone, THAT would cause you to go into withdrawls.

You bet'ch.nope, sometimes the dentist will put on surface anesthetic (like a strawberry flavoured thing) that will numb the area. After that they will inject you with novocaine. When i had the injection i didnt even feel the needle go in, just focus on something and it should be fine.

Suboxone CONTAINS Naloxone. It is subutex (buprenorphine HCI) and naloxone mixed together. The Naloxone blocks the opiate effect of the subutex, However, it still can be and is abused. If you are already taking naltrexone, I wouldn't advise taking suboxone on top of it. While slightly different, naloxone and natrexone are both opiate agonists. One is faster acting and one is longer lasting but too much of this type of medication will put you into precipitated withdrawals.

Hey, I am prescibed both Suboxone and Hydroxyzine both from the same doctor. He obviously thinks its okay to take these two medications together, but then again he also prescribed me Xanax while I was on Suboxone. Personally the only reason I go to this doctor is because he is one of the only places that I can get Suboxone from. Other than for that reason I would never go there. I trust him to a certain extent ,but then again i don't trust him 100%. I have been coming to this site to see if somone has answered this question, but still no answer. The main reason why I question his judgment on the mixture of these two is because the both can cause respiratory depression
