Technically no. If your heart stops beating there should be no pulse. The only thing you should have left are feeble brain waves fading as death takes over entirely. The brain is always the last to die.
Someone who's "only" brain dead can have a pulse - but otherwise, no.
The pulse 'diffuses' from random motion and collisions of its molecules until it is no longer discernible.
It is not necessarily dangerous to have random pulses in the body. You have random areas throughout the body that are used to find a pulse. This just means your blood is pumping good.
The apical pulse may be a little bit faster than say a radial pulse because of the slight lag in time as blood rushes from the heart into larger arteries. Any LARGE difference between the values of apical and other pulses observed is called a PULSE DEFICIT. This could indicate a cardiac impairment (i.e. a weakened heart).
It refers to the strength of the pulse (1 to 4), 4 being the strongest.
It's called being dead
A pulse appears wherever an artery passes near the surface and over a hard substrate. The heart beats, and creates a throbbing that is felt when one takes a pulse.
it makes it go up....
i think it measures the heartbeat of your body and how fast and slow your heart is beating and how energetic your being and how boring type thing! if u are playing sport or being silly and cyco your pulse will go Really fast and if u r sitting there being relaxed then your heart beat will be slow and the right paste i hope this helps but i don't really no much put your pulse of your heart.
Not all living things have a heart that pumps blood in a cyclic fashion, which is what creates a pulse. The pulse is an increase in arterial pressure associated with blood being pumped by a contraction of the left ventricle. All mammals and birds have a pulse.
Adrenaline rushes, stress, exercise, twitching, panic attacks and such are causes of your pulse being high. Your pulse can also increase when you look at someone you love or like, epilepsi etc. etc.
When taking a pulse you do not want anything restricting the blood flow through that particular artery. Other than that if a patient is in restraints it is okay to take a pulse while they are being restrained.
