Having a tooth extracted alone won't straighten other teeth in the mouth. Orthodontists may request certain teeth be extracted for the purpose of making room to straighten teeth using braces, or other orthodontic appliances.

It would hurt a lot but yes
NO.
32 if she hasn't had any extracted. 28 if she's had her wisdom teeth out.
Out of 32 adult (permanent) teeth, most adults have 28(wisdom teeth extracted), or 24(wisdom teeth and one premolar in each quadrant extracted). Most adults in their 40's have the latter, because it was common to extract the 4 premolars for orthodontia at that time. Most younger adults have 28 teeth. Some adults have all 32. I would say the average adult has 28 teeth.
Wisdom teeth should be extracted when they push and damage the 7th tooth while they grow, also when they develop a cyst or cause an infection, and wisdom teeth are removed if they're causing problems with prosthesis. Here's an interesting video about wisdom tooth extraction.

A paramolar is extracted the same exact way other teeth are. You will be numbed up and then the dentist will use several different tools to pull the tooth out.
Directions on the bottle advise to not use in the area of recently extracted teeth.
You should be able to resume a normal diet after 7-10 days.
