On will be hooked to the laptop and the other will be to the xbox. Plug the xbox in as a client and plug the laptop in to the internet plug(where you plug the modem in) After you do all of this you need to do 1 of 2 things. The best way would be to share the internet connection by going to network adapters and click properties, sharing, then select what to share with Option 2 you can bridge it by selecting both adapters and right click and hit bridge(More advanced and faster but will slow internet on laptop whil cbox is pluged up.
