ok so if its only your legs that wont tan then maybe consider just using tanning lotion on your legs! i know it might sound weird to a guy, but oil tanning bases work the best! hope i could help!
A tan is produced by melatonin. The sun goes through the skin and hits the melatonin. The more sunlight the sun gets the more melatonin is produced, which makes the skinner more tan. Melatonin wares away though if it is not being affected by the sun. Thus during the winter when there is less sun, the skin color becomes lighter and less tanned.
Melatonin is a natural chemical created in your body, so no it is NOT bad for your heart. Melatonin vitamins can be bad for your body but your heart is safe.

There's been no evidence that melatonin is a drug that is capable of an OD. Personally, I've taken several mgs (upwards of 20) and was fine. The only drawback is that you'll feel very groggy in the morning. Also, don't use too much, well, too much. Melatonin is a naturally occurring drug that is excreted from the pineal gland in the absence of light. If you continue to regularly take melatonin every night, it can temporarily disrupt melatonin production in the brain. It's not life-threatening by any means, but it can severely disrupt your natural sleep schedule.
