That depends on the size of the conductor and the type, which is defined by its insulation. With many common large feeder conductors such as THHW, the largest conductor which you can run 8 of is # 2 gauge. Whereas common small branch circuit conductors such as # 12 THHN, you can run 138 ea. through a 2 " conduit. For the complete list, look at the chart titled "Maximum number of conductors in electrical metallic tubing" (EMT) in the National Electrical Code.

WHY STRANDED CONDUCTERS ARE USED IN POWER CABLES?

Stranded conductors are more flexible than solid conductors.

If ther are more than conductors in the raceway the ampacity of the conductors must be derated?

Ampacity must be derated depending on the number of conductors and the ambient temperature. In the Canadian Electrical Code Table 5C denotes derating for the number of conductors. 1-3 conductors = 100% load 4-6 conductors = 80% 7-24 conductors = 70% 25-42 conductors = 60% 43 or more conductors = 50%

Do Conductors conduct heat more slowly than insulators?

No, a conductor (of heat) will conduct heat more efficiently than an insulator.

Does metal conduct more heat than plastic?

Yes, metals are better conductors of heat than plastic.

Are there fewer conductors than non conductors?

In the natural world the answer is definitely yes. Naturally occurring metals where the only things that really conducted. But with modern civilization we are extracting the metals out of the minerals. But still there are more non conductors.

Do insulators have lower resistance than conductors?

On the contrary, insulators have higher resistance than conductors. Resistance refers to resisting a flow of electricity, making it more difficult for electricity to flow. Conductors conduct electricity, they make it easy for electricity to flow. Insulators prevent the flow of electricity.

Can you install the sims in more than 1 PC?

What are the Advantages of bundle conductors over solid conductor?

By bundle conductors, I am assuming that you mean stranded conductors. If you actually mean bundles of wires, then the bundles could be either stranded or solid and your question does not make sense. Stranded conductors have two main advantages over solid conductors. The first is flexibility. Stranded conductors are much more flexible than their solid counterparts. The second main advantage is skin surface area. Alternating current tends to travel towards the outer skin of a conductor. This is known as the skin affect. Stranded wire has a lot more skin surface area than solid wire does. There may be more advantages, but these are the two I could think of off the top of my head.

What types of matter are the best conductors of electricity?

Water and metal are the two most well known conductors. They are conductors because they let electricity flow through them. Humans are also conductors because more than half of our body contains water.

Is three phase transmission line is example of bundle conductor?

'Bundled' conductors describe a line in which two or more conductors are supported from the same insulator chain. In the UK, 275-kV transmission lines typically use two conductors per line, and 400-kV transmission lines typically use four conductors per line. The purpose of bundling conductors is to spread the electric stress on the conductors (e.g. for four conductors, the same amount of electric flux will be 'shared' between the four conductors, rather than concentrated on the surface of one conductor).

Metals are conductors of heat and electricity?

Yes, but some metals are better conductors than others.
