Yes u can it really works I cant speak for anyone else, but I love it
In a round-about way, so to speak yes. The suboxone attaches to the receptors that control pain. They keep them occupied so your brain is getting the narcotic from the suboxone in a less abusive way then opiates. Your switching to the lesser of two evils though if you don't get off the suboxone relatively quick (5-7 days) you will still have to go through detox, just then for the suboxone. The key is to not have any opiate left on the receptors, or very little, when you first take suboxone otherwise the two meds fighting for position will cause precipitated withdrawals:( Check "Your Addiction Solutions" for more
If you're trying to get high on suboxone after being on it to get you off opiates, you should probably go back to rehab.
dude you seriously do not need to take hydro if you've been off subs for 5 days. congrats for making it this far. if you must you can take it whenever you want. i agree with the above statement....if you have been off the subs for 5 days you dont need anything......just hang in there and good luck on your road to recovery
Yes i do, also suboxone, but not both.
No. Suboxone is used for opiate addicts trying to get off the opiates without withdrawals. It also helps with cravings.
yes.. assuming you mean suboxone. you probably should be off it for about a week before you try opiates again
Do NOT take methadone to get off Suboxone. Taper off Suboxone over 10 days. Cut the pills in eighths if you have to. Taking methadone for 5 days will only give you 2 addictions
The amount of days after getting off of methadone 20 mgs that it is best to start suboxone is around thirty days. It is best to consult a physician for further information.
suboxone/subutex is the latest prescription drug that can be substituted in place of another narcotic.. sub stops the horrible withdrawal symptoms when going off a narcotic once you're addicted..unfortunately you are simply replacing one narcotic for another narcotic.. although word is getting off suboxone much easier than getting off methadone, so switching to suboxone to get off methadone and then getting off subutex certainly make sense..in the case of getting off other narcotics[percs,Oxycontin, morphine, etc] can't really say that getting off suboxone is any easier than getting off those other narcotics because subutex is just another synthetic narcotic..
At least 2 days.
i would recomend a rapid taper of your daily dose and do not take it 2-3 days before surgey (if u can if not try taking just 1/4 of an 8mg pill or less) discuss it with the surgeon, (unless you do not want him to know your on suboxone) other than that, that's my best answer :)
Based on how much an how often you use you will devolop a tolernace by the end of a week with daily use or by the end of a month with an alternating day route. This can also be affected by how you use (EX. IV users tend to develop tolerance much faster) I feel some people are more proned to build tolerance faster than others. If you remain a chipper which i highly recommend and use only say once every Saturday every other week you will remain addiction free and get the most bang for your buck. Developing a tolernace leads to the loss off pleasurable effects that opiates give, once you lose it its very hard to get back at a reasonable dose. And if you have never used heroin or any opiates for that matter please start with a very small amount there is no gurantee how potent it will be and you could overdose very easily your first time.
