A dumbo rat is a fancy rat ;)
Dumbo's are just given the name because of their over-sized ears.
All fancy rats have the potiental to get along, but not all will, after all.
Be sure if you are going to introduce a new rat to take the rats to a neutral area (placing the new one in the cage is a recipe for disaster!).

∙ 14y agoA dumbo ratIS a fancy rat, so of course they can interbreed. The dumbo refers to the rats ears: a little larger and set further and flater on the rats head. The dumbos also tend to be larger, and, it is said, more placid. The other kind of ear position is called top ear, which is the traditional rat look. Both are, as I mentioned, fancy rats, a term that refers to all pet rats bred at home.

∙ 10y agoA dumbo rat is named for it's slightly larger, rounder ears. Other than their ears, Fancy rats and Dumbo rats are basically the exact same. The personalities differ from rat to rat regardless of appearance.

It depends on the pet store. They may if they sell both Dumbo, fancy and standard rats. They will likely put it in with the standard rats. This means it will likely be sold as a feeder.

I would say and dwarf hamster any kind there cheaper and they wont chew the bars of your hamster cage they are really cute. but do not get two and try not to let them escape your hands. They are really fast runners that's why i got the teddy bear hamster because they come in cute colors and they don't bite as much and you can get more than one. =)
