It depends on the regulations in your particular state. In some states you can take traffic school and keep the ticket off your record. In others you can only take traffic school to remove points from your driver's license. The ticket still shows on your record.
Totally up to you. If you were speeding, pay it. If you want to fight it, do so. However, if you wish to keep your record clean a day at traffic school (with additional fee of course) will keep the ticket off your record.
If you have enough money then of course you can pay to get it off.:P But in actuality who cares? It's not any kind of serious violation and it will be gone from your record after a few years.

Request a deferred. You will pay an administrative fee and must keep your record clear for one year. Upon completion of one year, the charge will be dismissed. Deferreds are allowed every seven years.
Likely the only way to have a speeding ticket removed from a record is to ask a judge to relieve it. This is a very unlikely situation, however. The judge would have to have a good reason for doing it.
