yes. i store chilly in the fridge all the time,because if you leave it on the counter it will rot faster.
Grate it put in a jar& cover with sherry or vodka, freeze it, or if using within a week leave on counter or unwrapped in refrigerator.
Blueberries will hold up pretty well in the freezer for one year, though toward the end of that year the "fresh blueberries" taste will start to deteriorate. But up to six-eight months after they are frozen, they are terrific when thawed. One of the better fruits to freeze.
The textbook answer is about 2 weeks. By this time though, they will have began to lose alot of their vitamins and such. The best thing to do is not wash them until you are ready to use them. By using an o3 pure fridge food preserver, it can double the time for blueberries and any other vegetables. Once initially picked you may wish to leave them uncovered for the first day to remove any excess moisture. If using a fridge food preserver or a similar item that removes ethylene gas you should leave a small opening for air exchange.

Strawberries spoil easily if you just leave them out on the counter. If you don't want your strawberries to spoil, I suggest that you put them in the refrigerator like a normal human being.

Yes - like pretty much all matter, orange peels can absorb heat. If you take an orange out of the refrigerator and leave it on the counter for a few hours you will notice that it is no longer cold; the peel (and the rest of the orange) absorbed heat from the counter and the air in the room.
You should leave cooked deer out on the counter for only 30 minutes.
