In the United States we celebrate Independence Day with fireworks displays. Some say this is to commemorate the battles of the Revolutionary War. However, fireworks and other explosions have been a part of important celebrations for many centuries. Some of the American Founders thought that July 2nd, when they voted to declare independence from Britain, would be celebrated with fireworks forever - and that was an opinion about the importance of the event and about celebrating, not about battles.Fireworks represent celebration, and the 4th of July is a day to show celebration!
I've been looking for the answer on the Internet for over an hour and the best answer I can find is that it's legal to sell fireworks (safe-and-sane) until noon, July 6, so it should be legal to light them until at least that time. I'm surprised that information on how many days before and after the 4th it's legal to light safe-and-sane fireworks doesn't pop up in search results, no mater how specifically the search term is worded. I have a $40 box of fireworks I bought today and I'm lighting them with my grand kids on Saturday when they visit. Ignorance of the law is one thing, but if a diligent search doesn't find a law against lighting fireworks after the 4th, then maybe there is no law against it. I'm calling the Fire Marshal in the morning. Using the telephone to get an answer to a simple question in the Internet age--Ugh.
No where in Houston (with the exception of novelty items - 1.4G are prohibited). The Fire Marshals offise provides maps, regulations and up to date information.
Outside of city limits.

Yes, they should. I heard that she wanted to! BUT... she should still do Meegan Coco's Idea of a break up with the lolly pop or the fireworks!
