The particles are not fixed. The liquid will change to the shape of the container it is held in.
There is some attraction between particles.
The particles have more kinetic energy than in a solid state.
The particles have less kinetic energy than in a gaseous state.
When cooled liquids may solidify to a solid.
When heated liquids may evaporate to gases.
1L of pure H2O at 4 degrees celcius at normal pressure has a mass of 1kg
All liquids are not the same: they have different physical and chemical properties.
Common properties of liquids and gases: (i) Both do not have a specific shape. (ii) Both are compressible. (iii) In both the states ,substances can flow. That is why they are called fluids.
It really depends on which two liquids you are try to separate. The most basic method would be distillation, or boiling one of the liquids and collecting the condensation. If the liquids don't mix well, i.e., oil and water, a centrifuge can be used to separate the two.
Fixed volume and fixed shape
The properties of aromatic aldehydes like benzaldehyde is that they are colorless liquids that are slightly soluble in water. They smell of almonds and react similar to their aliphatic analogues.

juice and water
they are both liquids!

Fluid Mechanics
Properties: liquids have a definite volume but no definite shape.
Liquids does not have a definite shape, but have a definite volume. Diffusion is a slow process and liquids are compressible.

Not solid, not gas, not plasma. Fluids do not have any structrual properties. (Only hydraulic properties) Fluids do not have any crystal strucutre properties
defined volume.
Liquids and soilds share properties that are Definte mass and volume and that they can be transformed into eachother :)
