Yes, any body with a temperature emits EM radiation which is not in the visible spectrum, but if you heat too much, you can get some visible EM radiation.

it happens every time you heat a peice of iron and it glows red hot, or when you heat the tungsten filament inside a light bulb and it lights your room.

Does the sun burn off heat or light?

The sun emits both heat and light. The heat produced in the sun's core is generated by nuclear fusion reactions, while the light that we see is a result of this heat being radiated out into space in the form of electromagnetic radiation, which includes visible light.

Do the earth and moon make their own light and heat?

No. The moon reflects the sun's light and the earth is heated and lite by the sun.

Why does light attract heat?

It Doesn't!!! Light sources sometimes emit heat as Infra Red radiation which is part of the electromagnetic spectrum, like visible light, but you can't see it. It Doesn't!!! Are Stars cold and make light?

Stars make their own light, but they are not cold. Stars are extremely hot. We do not feel their heat because they are incredibly distant.

What gives out light without heat?

Bioluminescent organisms, such as fireflies and certain jellyfish, emit light without producing heat. This is due to the chemical reactions that occur within their cells, which convert energy into light. This light production is called cold light.

How does a light bulb make heat?

The electrical energy input which is meant to turn the lights on is not 100% used (since no machine is 100% efficient.) Most of this energy is wasted as heat energy. If a substance reaches a certain temperature it gives off light and heat. When a filament light bulb reaches that temperature, it gives off both light and heat

What are the five sources of light and heat?

1. The main source is the sun. Even though rocks seem like they emit heat, they really got their heat initially from the sun. 2. Radioactive substances emit their own energy and heat. 3. Warmblooded animals emit heat. However, they make the energy from the food they eat which ultimately came from the sun. 4. Electricity. Electricity can be used to make heat and light. 5. Other stars from other solar systems emit their own light.
