It's a lot easier if you take it out of the can first.
If you do so, you'll probably find that they pureed it before putting it in the can, so you don't really need to do anything more to it.

∙ 14y agoThe pie mix contains sugar and other additional ingredients, it is not the same as the pureed pumpkin. Some recipes can survive the substitution, many don't.
