It's a 2 1/2 ton heat pump.

That's going to depend on the humidity level and size of the area being cooled.
I have a 1999 Dodge 2500 4WD, and the answer is no. It's just stubborn. I used a breaker bar and 3ton jack to break it loose.
The general rule is for manufacturers to list the capacity of the units in thousands of BTUH. Hence 36,000 btuh divided by 12,000 btuh per ton = 3ton. lc
One kg = 1000 grams. So one gram is 10^-3 kilograms. Kilograms and grams are both the metric units of mass. So the answer is 3000 kg
No. To my knowledge never have. The diesels that dodge has used have always been 6 cylinders. Now, some of the older(75ish?) heavy duty trucks (3ton and over) MIGHT have had a v8 diesel, but it would have been a cummins or a cat or detroit...
Pull an 8 conductor or two 4`s just to be safe. If he has to ask this question I would have my doubts in his abilities. Just for the record though. 1 for the power supply R, 1 for the compressor, 1 for the reversing valve, 1 for the fan, 1 for each stage of the electric heat strip ( # of stages on stat must match # on heater ) and finally 1 for the common if the stat requires it. That leaves you with a minimum of 5 and a maximum of 7.
It could have any size heating furnace, the two are unrelated except for the size blower used in the furnace to support the 3 ton cooling system. But the fact remains you can get a 3 ton blower in 50,000 btu furnace, a 100,00 btu furnace and anything in between.
Any air cooled heat pump is only effective down to around 35*F outdoor temperature. So your climate has something to do with what you are asking. In some areas with mild winters possibly yes. But on the other hand since your heat pump will also be providing your cooling, 3 tons sounds a bit light to me for a two story 2000sf home. Best to get your appliances properly sized for your situation and climate. It sounds as if you`ve already been burned once with guesstimates.
