I believe in some women it does, and others might get their period!
I am a nursing mom of a seven month old, and I haven't had my period since December 2009! when i found out i was pregnant!
AND I AM NOT LOOKING FORWARD TO GETTING IT BACK hehe!
but i guess you never know .. each women is different!

∙ 15y agoYes, the hormones released during breast feeding naturally suppress ovulation. Pre contraception this was the only way of spacing chidren. Don't rely on it as a form of contraception though.
