There is no equivalent to a saddle horn on an English saddle. The English saddle has no horn to any equivalent. The Western saddle was made for the cowboys, who needed something to help anchor the rope to after roping a cow. This is where the Western saddle was invented, designed for comfort for long days of hard riding in the saddle, and for usefulness, which is why it has all the little straps to tie things to, perfect room for saddle bags and such, and with the saddle horn having the direct purpose of dallying the rope. The English saddle was not used by cowboys, and therefore, there was no use for a saddle horn, so there is nothing there.
Well any type of saddle can be treeless. Typically a english saddle will be made with a spring tree to offer support and comfort. Treeless saddles can be tricky to fit sometimes, but then so can any saddle in general.
Clydes are rather big horses. It's not the type of saddle that's important, but that it fits. If it does, go ahead.
If you transliterate the letters for ANY of the Mongolian words for saddle, it does not transliterate into Khalkha or Kahlkha.
5 bags in total.
Yes, many breed shows include side-saddle classes. There are also shows specifically for side-saddle riders.
Any English saddle is fine. Gymnkana's are usually for fun and games, you usually want to have a saddle you don't mind getting a bit scratched, so preferably don't use your show saddle! :)
Any western type saddle, or one of the specialty tack sets.
Go to any Wal-Mart and pick up the DVD "Pick Your Spot Polaties". I swear by it. Trust me, I have thunder thighs and it helped to do the 10 min belly, 10 min butt & 10 min thighs.
Because if they dont the sadelle will be to heavy and it will hurt the horse. The saddle doesn't get any lighter because of the saddle pad, but the pad cushions the weight of the saddle and absorbs shock and moisture, making it more comfortable for the horse.
You can use any kind of saddle providing the tree fits the horse's back comfortably.
....... you dont need a special saddle for a pinto. you just use any saddle that fits.....
