Yes just go to the bottom left of the screen click the arrow that is horizontal then click on the bookcase. You can only move it in the house though.

(MAY NOT WORK)heyy,you can't buy elevators on the sims 2, but if you have the sims 2 open for business, you can buy them on build, extra, and then their should be a catalog that is an elevator, and that's where you get them.
