Some tourist attractions may accept US Dollars, due to the amount of US visitors. The Giant's Causeway is one such attraction, but there are very few others.

It is much easier just to convert your money to Pound Sterling (GBP) for Northern Ireland (or Euro (EUR) for Ireland).
