I'm assuming you mean, what the difference between PlayStation, and the PSx abbreviation.. Sony released the PlayStation, then the PSone. Because the consoles were essentially the same, except for cosmetic issues, many people begin calling the original PlayStation the PSx, to compliment the PSone abbreviation. There is no real difference there, just a naming convention.
