Well on websites and on the PS3 box itself it says no but when sony slashed the cost of the ps3 the 40gb onwards was not region locked to save money so yes you can play region 1,3,4 games on region 2 ps3 (unless its 60gb)
If the disc is NTSC (not PAL), you can't.
If it is on your pc, then I think you can. But on a ps3, wii, ds, xbox, or psp, no
If your PS2 is an NTSC one and you have not modified it, no PAL game may work. Only if you modify your PS2, then it will work.
No, Australia region for games is PAL.
The PAL system for the European PS3
No. Although you can play all ps3 games, ps2 games are still region locked.
PS3 Games are mostly region free, this means it doesnt matter whether your console is NTSC or PAL. Check before importing however as certain more recent games -are- region locked. you can play any ps3 game on any ps3 consle American English Australian ect. Don't believe any of the above is true and is not what american PSN support has said
yes you can i have many format 2 games that play on my Australian ps3
yes because ps3 has no region locked blue ray disc games. you can play any games on any ps3 platform with any of these regions without hassles (R1, R2, R3 or R4). The problems with the games come from PAL versus NTSC, but both Australia and New Zealand are in 4 PAL DVD region. While PS3 Blue Ray games are not region locked they still can not play Blue Ray Region A (NTSC) in Region B (PAL) because of the SDTV Region of PAL and NTSC and the different TV systems
Yes dear you can.
The whole world has PS3 so you should be able to no matter where you go.Yes, but you cannot play Canadian games on a South African PS3 or play South African games on a Canadian PS3 because of the difference between PAL (used in South Africa) and NTSC (used in Canada). However as televisions are PAL/NTSC neutral, it should not prove a problem to connect a PS3 from one country to a television in the other.
While the game is not yet out the American Game is designed for the American HDTV and so is the American PS3 and they are not compatible with Europe's PAL system
