Yes you can play in mixed teams in Netball. Some people think netball is just for girls...but its not its for both girls and boys.
tball
I believe they have netball teams for all ages as of about 5 years old and up.
boys can't play in girls netball teams unless it is a mix team.
She started playing netball at primary school and got into rep teams when she was 13.
not many netball teams have byes but its when you dont play for a week.
If you mean originate, then it started in America, and it was called women's basketball, as women didn't play it then. GO HHS NETBALL TEAMS!!!!
international teams or in a specific country?
If they did, wouldn't they then be mixed teams? Aren't men's teams by definition teams without females on them?
How is football a male game?! Netball isn't a feminine game at all really. Its just that the professional games are played with women. Many younger teams are open for boys to join and play but as they get older you have to join a mixed netball team and there are plenty around the place for all ages! Men start to get funny about netball and say its a girls sport because one of the rules is no contact (which really isn't true, plenty of dirty play in netball) plus they see that there are loads of girls playing and not many boys and the rules don't seem to suit them (supposebly)... But in all netball isn't just for girls! Its just that not many guys are brave enough to try and play it. and guys CAN play it.
you play netball on a netball court :)
There is no netball in the Olympics, and secondly it depends on what country you are referring to.The Australian Men's (and mixed) National Netball teams are called the Sonix. Up until 2012, the Sonix played a biennial Trans Tasman series. In the alternate years, a World Cup was contested in one of a number of host countries. Teams in the U/23, Open Men's & Open Mixed divisions compete (additionally, an U/19 division was included in the 2012 Trans Tasman series for the first time). In 2013, a new chapter in International Men's & Mixed Netball competition has begun, with the inaugural World Championship of Men's & Mixed Netball to be contested in Sun City, South Africa. Teams in the U/23, Open Men's & Open Mixed divisions will compete. Similarly in 2013, the Australian Sonix U/17 & U/19 teams will travel to Malaysia to compete in thatcountry'slargest annual Netball Tournament. Sadly at this time, neither LadiesorMen's Netball are included on the Olympic Program, however Netball as a whole received IOC recognition in 2005.
In a netball game a referee counts the scores and keep an eyes on the play just in case a mistake appears and tells the teams who's starts centre when a team scored.
