yes. but use the parts from the camaro. keep it simple. all parts are interchangeable. you may have to relocate the temp sending unit, from one side to the other, on your heads, just pictur the vette engine, just like your camaros is now.
Not electronic. But mechanical yes. NOTE: a 1996 camaro has the LT1. A 1998 Camaro has the LS1. A lot of things are different.
could be a bearing in the engine, but more likely the alternator belt, if it looks shiny replace, then see how things go.
The 86' Z28 comes stock with a 5.0 or 302 their both the same engine. a 1986 chevy camaro does not come with a 302 its a 305 a 302 is a ford motor not a che y motor know your facts i am a camaro fanatic i know these things about them plus i own a 1986 chevy camaro irocz z28 and its all original with the 305 4barrel carb thats how it should be btw mine has the t-tops in it
It's attached to the engine. If you don't know what an alternator looks like, then you have no business even opening the hood. Leave mechanical things to a mechanic... especially on a Range Rover!
Yes but why would you want to? You'd have change a few things to make it work and the LT1 is superior in some ways.
Need to know a few things about your olds. What type of Cutlass is it? Engine size? This will make for a better answer for you. Need to know a few things about your olds. What type of Cutlass is it? Engine size? This will make for a better answer for you.
Look after the little things and the big tings will take care of themselves
Do all the regular things to unhook the alternator then take the passenger side motor mount out, jack up the engine a little and unbolt the A/C compressor and squeeze that baby out!
Then the alternator needs to be looked at asap But I even took the cable off alternator and car stayed on which meet alternator in good right? Edit: If you took the cable off the alternator, then you disconnected the alternator so you didn't test the alternator at all. As a quick test only, removing the positive battery cable at the battery and the engine stays running means the alternator is charging. Do not run the engine more than a few seconds like this, and even then a voltage spike can wipe out your car's electronics. Much better to get a charging system tester to check things or at least borrow a voltmeter.
Unless things have changed, the diodes are part of the alternator. The voltage regulator is attached to the alternator but the diodes are part of the alternator.
Yes, you just have to change a few things like your mounts and pulleys if the engine came out a fwd just exchange with your original mounts and pulleys and it should work.
I use premium, but these things will run on nearly anything that you can get, as long as it is unleaded. Due to the weaker engine, I'd recommend Premium, simply because it gives you more power and because its better for the engine.
