Mixing species with that drastic difference in size is promoting the smaller one to be a quick meal for the larger one. Most house geckos are very small in size, only reaching 3-5". The flying gecko can reach lengths of 8-10". All geckos are very solitary creatures and usually only meet one of the same species but opposite sex when it comes to breeding season. Flying geckos usually have a bad reputation for being timid and aggressive.
once a week and only one gecko add one every 30cm2
Yes, they will fight together, exept if they are put in separate homes
Yes, but you want to check the sex of the geckos. If you put males and females together they will probably breed.
I put a baby crawfish in my geckos tank and he's yet to eat it. Ide say its a bad idea because there crab - crustacean might hurt ur gecko.
The only times I know that they are aggressive are: 1. when you put a different type of gecko in the same tank. (I have heard of some that are ok) 2. if you put two male leopard geckos together. (females are normally ok) 3. they are very aggressive to crickets! :)
Most gecko species can regenerate a new tail if lost or eaten, although there are some species of gecko that will not grow another. A crested gecko is an exaple of a gecko that will not grow another tail.
Gecko's eat crickets, spiders, cockroaches, beetles, moths and any type of insect. They even eat insects bigger than themselves. All geckos eat mainly insects, but their preferences depend on the individual gecko. For example bigger geckos enjoy larger insects as prey. Small geckos such as house geckos may be less inclined to eat spiders and centipedes, and more inclined to eating cockroaches as their favorite food.
Absolutely not ! They require completely different living conditions ! Besides which - they'd never encounter each other in the wild.
Yes they do.But if your leoperd gecko has eggs when they are asleep you should take out the eggs and put them in a incubator until they hatch. Then when the eggs hatch put them back with the parent(s).After the female lays the eggs you shoud take out the male because it cold get rough with the female.
I have a crested gecko but your leopard gecko might like it too. I hold him and put one hand in front of the other and he runs down my hands. Sometimes I put a little gap between my hands and he jumps from hand to hand.
No. If you put a boy leopard gecko with a girl leopard gecko they will get aggressive with you, you can't put 2 boys in the same cage, either. 2 females are OK, but leopard geckos like to be alone
no! they do not, most likely they will try to eat their young so if your gecko has a baby put the baby in a separate holder.
