Acetone may damage polyester towels and any other poly- products. It is safe with cotton towels. Pure acetone is practically explosive, so be careful.
Acetone will not make Styrofoam hard. Putting Styrofoam in acetone will dissolve how to do it is easy. Place a bit of acetone into a bowl then put in the Styrofoam in the bowl and it will dissolve away.

Yes, paper towels can be put in compost as they are biodegradable and will break down over time.
You could dig a hole in the ground and put the can inside it then cover it with wet newspapers or towels Or you could use a bowl and pour ice and salt in it and put your can in it Or you could wrap the can around with wet newspapers and towels and cotton wool and put it inside a bag hope this helps! :D
Because the acetone takes some of the heat from your hand and uses it to evaporate.
You can start it in paper towels but then you should put in a pot when it sprouts.

Stains in marble can be removed with acetone from your local hardware store. Pour some onto a clean cloth and rub away at the stain. For deep stains, put several layers of paper towels over the stain, soak the towels with acetone and cover with saran-wrap and tape down the edges with painters blue tape. Let it sit overnight until the paper towels are dry. Wipe down the entire stone with acetone on a soft rag and then reseal with a professional stone sealer.
