I grew up with electric blankets, they were always under my pretty bedspread so you didn't see the electric "veins"... a word of warning though, you will get REALLY warm, probably overheated. Make sure you don't sweat, the stink will cling to the electric blanket and you can't easily wash it- you may also want to cut the heat in the room at night

BUT, be WARNED -- Some electric blankets DO warn that they can get hot enough to cause injury if additional blankets are put on top of them. PLEASE read the manufacturer's instructions FIRST. BE SAFE.
