Only if you want the mold to show up on the new plasterboard. This is obviously a joke - NO you can't do it. Mold is a very invasive and serious problem. You need to do the following and very importantly in this order.
Step 1: fix the source. Don't repair cosmetic damage prior to fixing the source. Mold needs 2 things to grow. Mold spores and moisture. You need to fix the leak and clean out the mold
Step 2: remove all sources of problems and move all furniture else where before step 3. Chance are if its mold your furniture is totalled. Don't even try to save it if it smells. Get rid of it asap.
Step 3: tear down and rebuild everything. Make sure you get every crevice.
Good luck.

How long does it take for a gelatin mold to set?

It depends on how deep the mold is but you can expect it to take several hours to really firm up. Usually after four hours the mold will be firm and will set faster if you put the mold in the freezer to chill before you put the jello in it.
