No because Oscar fish grow very large and the amount of water that the fish would need is way more than you could have for a turtle in captivity. Actually, I don't know of any fish that could live with a turtle in captivity, due to the amount of water they each need.

∙ 14y agoGoldfish are not the best feeder fish for turtles because goldfish are more fatty then other feeder fish. Also goldfish have a higher rate of having parasites that can be passed to your turtle. Better feeder fish are Minnows, Tuffies, and Guppies.

∙ 13y agoIt all depends on the type of turtle, the age or the turtle, and how aggressive the turtles are. If it's a baby turtle then probably yes, but a adult or juvenile turtle, i would not recommend.

∙ 14y agoNo. While turtles can hold their breath longer than mammals can, they have to be in an environment where they can come up for air. They have to be able to breathe, or they will drown.

The first answer is partly correct. You can't put a land tortoise in an aquarium with water, or yes they will drown.
Aquatic turtles such as the Red Ear Slider or Yellow Bellied Slider need lots of swimming room. You must keep that in mind though when introducing fish. You will need a very large aquarium, probably at least 75 gallons.
You also need to keep in mind the filtration since turtles tend to be very messy. As far as turtles not eating the fish you will have to make sure your turtles are well fed and the fish is of appropriate size. Minnows or smaller goldfish will most likely be eaten whereas a convict or a larger sized cichlid would be fine.

∙ 14y agoI have seen it done. I would not recommend it however. Goldfish are cold water fish, turtles like warm water, goldfish are primarily vegetable matter eaters, turtles are omnivores which means one day their little tank mates could be lunch. Though as I have said I have seen it work.
