Yes but only in the hands of a professional body piercer. You shouldn't do this unless you are using a professional piercing gun, and if you haven't then you should have expected the piercing to be botched in the first place!
If you intend to do it yourself, be aware that unless you use completely sterile equipment, infection is extremely common. Bacteria often enters the piercing (it is a wound after all) and this causes anything from redness and inflamation through to pus seeping from an abcess followed later by scarring of the tissue.
Oh and it can kill you if you get the wrong kind of infection, or have a compromised immune system (i.e. if you had suffered the flu or similar virus beforehand).
For this reason, Answers.com recommends you do not try to do it yourself!
yes, but you have to wait for like a month or two after your body rejects it before you can repierce it. But when you repierce it again make sure to do it right.
If you believe a piercing has an infection it is best to remove the piercing and clean it with soap and water. Make an appointment with your doctor as soon as you can for further treatment.
I believe she has two lobe piercings in her right ear and two in her left, and one helix piercing in her left too. She has a nose piercing on her right nostril and a navel piercing.
Just be sure the jewellery is clean before you remove it and that is it, take the jewellery out right after a shower is the best bet.
this is a normal part of the healing process. it scared me at first too. lol no worries.. its just healing. just try not to pick at it except to remove the nasties. and clean it right after you remove it. :)
I have had my nose pierced three times each time I've had the same thinghappen if its a relatively new piercing you may have to remove it a few weeks before. the sooner the better, other than time (and that varies with every piercing),theres not much more you can do. Remember facial piercings heal fast and you will probably have to repierce later.Word of advice wait a few months before you do the longer the better,or repierce in different site, but not right beside original site. The same thing can happen just due to scar tissue left behind and also risk of infection. Don,t know exactly why,but at least you have some where to start.Best of luck and Congrats on your upcoming wedding(My husband and I just celebrated our 13Th wedding anniversary and have 5 kids).TAKE CARE!
Peircing you right nostril
The right side piercing is an antiquated custom, but originally only applied to men.

Go for it.
Well chances are good that the piercing may not close, it depends on how long you had the piercing before the jewellery is removed. Most of my clients get the jewellery replaced with a PTFE barbell which is ultra flexible made of surgical Teflon they manage to keep the piercing right through to delivery with no problems. If you have had the piercing for over a year, chances are good the piercing wont closed but it will shrink without jewellery in the piercing. You can get the jewellery put back in by seeing your piercer and having them use an insertion taper to reinsert the jewellery.
most likely the tragus piercing. but that's still on the ear.
