A library is to look up things like the history of Liverpool or if you found a book in the shop but its to much money you can go to the library and bowwow it. library's are mostly to help children read and help children research on stuff for school. old people come and read the daily mail or the times.

Typically, libraries do not make money. They were built to serve the purpose of letting those who are not as 'wealthy' to still get education (not like school) and resources. But libraries would make money off of the over due book money and off of donations.
i personally think owning a book is better because you own the you can read as long as u want but if your a fast reader pick the library because you don't have to spend money
