It's human nature, man always stays a man

NO! its alright, my mom loves phineas and ferb! she still thinks it is interesting(even though she calls the rest garbage). who ever says it is, well they are insane!
All ages can watch cartoons.
Depending on content, cartoons are harmless fun, stop being such an academic. Some are more sophisticated than others. As a grown man, I could still laugh at Bugs Bunny, ( made originally for movies) but not Mickey Mouse.

Depends, do you like cartoons? If so, you should balance cartoons between family, hygiene, food and work. You could enjoy spending time with your children (if you have any) while watching cartoon with them if that's what they desire. No shame or regret in liking cartoons, but it should never become excessive enought to ruin your social or physical life. Only children should be allowed to watch cartoons (or any television for that matter) to the point where they are shrunken wiry kids that always hide from sunlight and just barely get away with it at all before the situation is extremely out of hand. But no worry's, my grandfather enjoys watching cartoons (but the most when me and my sister sleep over at my grandmas house because we like to watch them too (mind you, we are both 13 and 8)) even thought he is too old in many opinions and no one we know has a problem with it.

That would depend on the cartoon. Some cartoons are intended for adults. So in general I would say yes it is normal.

Why do adults watch cartoons with their kids and never by themselves?

I'm not sure that statement is accurate. There are many adults who enjoy cartoons. In fact, some adults find references in them that a child might not entirely understand (the writers of these cartoons understand that parents will be in the audience, so some of the jokes are aimed more at the parents than at the kids). While the majority of adults may not necessarily watch cartoons that are aimed at little kids, classic cartoons like Looney Tunes are still entertaining, and many adults appreciate them.In our culture, we expect adults to be "mature," and historically, cartoons have been considered something associated with children; thus, you may not hear a lot of adults admitting they still enjoy watching cartoons. On the other hand, the popularity of the Cartoon Network's evening programming ("Adult Swim") and programs like Family Guy and the Simpsons certainly show that adults do like to watch cartoons.

Are Political cartoons still popular?

Newspapers still publish political cartoons on a daily basis, but as newspapers themselves are declining in popularity, we can reasonably conclude that political cartoons are not as popular as they once were. The political satire of The Daily Show with Jon Stewart is more popular.
