Toss those pencils in the recycle bin with all the other plastic you are not sure about.
If it truly can be recycled, the sorters will figure out what classification to give it. Otherwise, they'll throw it out, and we're in no worse shape than we would have been in the first place.
have never heard of pencil shaving being recycled, and I do not believe they can be because they are not just wood they also have graphite, lead, mixed in.
