What is an external force apllied to an object?

Effort Force Additionally: Wind propelling a sailboat, a car rolling down a hill due to gravity, or a mother pushing a stroller. But not a sailboat under it's own motor power, a car using it's engine only, or a self propelled stroller.

What is a hydrostatic system?

Hydrostatic systems take the mechanical rotary output of an engine or electric motor and convert it to a hydraulic source of power using a hydraulic pump. The hydraulic power is converted back to mechanical power using a hydraulic motor

What is the spark plug gap for a 6 hp suzuki motor?

If you are using NGK plugs, the plug model is BP6HS and the gap is 0.035. I had to look it up also for my 6HP Suzuki outboard on my sailboat.

What methods can you use to power and control a small electric motor using an Arduino without directly drawing power from the Arduino?

Have the Arduino control a relay that connects an external power source to the motor.

Your aquaclear power filter has stopped working?

It's possible the impellor is gunked up and the motor froze. Remove the black motor portion from the plastic container. Gently pull the impellor out and clean with an old toothbrush, try using one or two Q-Tips to clean the channel where the impellor spins, be careful not to damage the guide pin. Reassemble everything and try using the power filter in water, filter should never ever be used without water. If you don't hear any noise from the motor, try tapping on the motor housing to unfreeze the motor, it that doesn't work, it's time to purchase a new power filter.

Is the current produced by a dc motor the same as the current given to it?

A motor uses electricity; it does not produce it. If you are somehow using a DC motor as a generator, then it will produce power equal to the input power minus the motor losses. If the input power is you spinning the rotor, the output power will be directly proportional to how much work you put into spinning the rotor.

When does a sailboat have the right of way over a recreational power boat?

A sailboat has the right of way over a recreational power boat only when under sail alone and is crossing the path of the powerboat. I would expect a sailboat would always have right of way. How fast can a sailboat change direction compared to a speed boat? Speed boat drivers should be watching for sail boats or stationary boats at all times. Actually, on our lake, it seems as though the sail boats are stationary....hmmmm A sail boat only has the right away when it is in full sail. If the sail's are down and it is using its motor to power it, it is then considered a motor boat. The above answer is correct, with a little clarification. A sailboat would have the right of way over a power boat when it is under sail "only." In other words, if the sails are up but the motor is also operating, it would be considered a power boat and the normal rules of the road would apply equally to both. Also, there are certain categories of power driven vessels engaged in specific types of operations (like surveying, dredging, etc.) that have the right of way over all other vessels, including sailboats under sail only.Further discussion:Actually, there isn't a "right of way" under the Colregs. There are "stand on vessels" and "burdened vessels".A powered vessel constrained by draft in a seaway, for example, will be considered the stand on vessel (privileged vessel) and must maintain its course and speed when an unconstrained sailing vessel approaches. The sailing vessel, in this case, would be the burdened vessel and must give way.

When does a sailboat have the right of way?

When using Sail only and in a collision course with a power boat, unless that powerboat is engaged in a number of activities. These include but are not limited to both dredging and downrigging.

What are the advantages of using electromagnetic force to power a motor?

Electromagnetism is an efficient way in which to turn a motor. It does not produce pollution and it is otherwise environmentally safe.
