That depends on what material and the extent of the damage. If you think it's possible to do then it's certainly worth a try. I would choose the epoxy very carefully, look for one that sets clear if visibility is a factor, and also adapts well to wet conditions. I recently tried one called 'Wet-Bond' which claimed these attributes, but it was a disappointment. I would pick one of the products from Loc-Tite or Devcon.
