NO, the rim size is incorrect.
Yes this is an acceptable swap.
I tried to fit the chains for a 215/70R15 on a 215/60R15, and the chains were too large. I suspect in your case the chains will be too small.

The OEM size on my car is: 215/60R15
Not with out a lift of some type. I'm looking at doing it to a friend of mine. probably about a 2" lift will be required. original tires are 25.6 " in dia new ones are 27.7" maybe fender trimming as well.
If its a Ford Ranger XL 4x4 the stock tire size is 215/75R15. On the 1994 Ranger you had an additional option size of 235/75R15 and 265/75R15 (31x10.50) depending on the engine size. For the 4x2 models, I believe the options were 195/70R14, 215/70R14, and 225/70R14.
15 inch tires the exact size was 215/75R15
Yes, if you have 16 inch rims that will fit in place of the original 15 inch rims.
The correct factory tire size for a 1992 Jeep Wrangler is 215/75R15.
