Yes you can.

You can request one, but, depending on the jurisdiction, don't be surprised if your request is denied. There is a time limit in which to rescind one's signature on a birth certificate and after that time limit has expired, it can be difficult to get the matter re-opened.

Yes, it is possible to request a DNA test after signing the birth certificate, but the process and requirements can vary depending on your jurisdiction. If there are doubts or concerns about paternity, it is advised to consult with a family law attorney to understand the legal procedures and options available in your specific case.

IF YOU pay child support and sign birth certifacte does that estabilsh paternity?

By "sign the birth certificate" I assume you mean, signed a voluntary acknowledgment of paternity. That establishes paternity. Paying child support does not establish paternity. But, if you're paying child support and later learn you're not the father, you cannot stop paying under any circumstances in 20 states, and had a two year limit to file in the other 30, even if the mother has married the biological father. Always get a paternity test before signing a birth certificate. see links

Does your babies dad have to take a DNA test first before signing the birth certificate?

In some cases, if paternity is in question, it may be required for the father to take a DNA test before being listed on the birth certificate. This is to establish legal paternity and ensure accuracy in the child's legal records. It varies by jurisdiction.

What is the oath that a notary give before signing?

Do you have to list the father on a birth certificate?

No, this is why the birth certificate does not hold up in court when the father seek paternal rights because it is not fool proof by showing DNA. If you are not married I strongly recommend you get it done though before he signs. Only the biological father is allowed to sign it and if you know the one signing it is not the father, you are committing fraud.

Does father have rights if his name is not on birthcertificate?

In the US, generally, if the parents are unmarried the mother has sole custody and control in most states until the father can establish his paternity. Remember, a child's mother can always be identified by medical records. Since the father didn't give birth and he was not legally married at the time of the birth he must establish his paternity by signing the birth certificate at the time of birth (waiving DNA testing rights) which must be done with mother's consent. If he doesn't sign the birth certificate then he must seek another way to establish his paternity and that is done through a DNA test. A paternity test can be arranged through the court. Once paternity is established in court, the father can request visitations or custody through the court. If the mother retains physical custody she can request that the court issue a child support order. If the father gets physical custody he can request a child support order. In the UK the father has no rights if the fathers name is on the birth certificate or not. The father has to "exercise" his rights in a court of law either way.
