A pregnant mare is okay to be ridden for the first 6 or 7 months of her pregnency. Generally, it's a good thing for them to have moderate excerise. For the last 4 or 5 months of her pregnency you should limit her excerise.
It is not a good idea what if you fell off?you could endanger your life and your baby's.Some people do ride you have to remember your weight will be distributed differentlly and could effect your balance. If you have a steady 'plod' you trust and doesn't spook you might be ok but your find many ridding schools wouldn't allow you to ride as they wouldn't want the responsability of you falling off and harming yourself. I would try to find someone to exercise your horse if you own one and take to the saddle after baby arrives. If anything happened you would never forgive yourself.
In the wild, horses run even when, and probably especially when they're pregnant. A light run each day should be good and eventually the mare will know when its time to take it easy. Trust HER instincts.
Yes you can and I highly recomend it. Anything you were doing with the horse prior to it getting pregnant you can still do while it is pregnant. It is good to exercise the mare it is also good for the foal. Do NOT over due it though. I would probably only do light work on her and no galloping or anything of that nature.
Yes i dont think weight can affect the unborn baby horse
if something happens..that is if she falls or if someone kicks her really hard in the stomach area it may damage the horses unborn baby
It is normally safe to ride a pregnant mare until the last 3 months of her pregnancy. It is good to keep a mare in shape so she will be healthy and be able to deliever more easily.
Nope. Since she's already pregnant she no longer has to go into heat while carrying a foal.
no. Actually, I'm sure you could until the doctor tells you not to. I know that if I ever get pregnant, I'll ride until I'm chained to my bed in bed rest.
You could so long as it's very early in the pregnancy, but it is generally not a good idea to place that much stress on a pregnant mare.
of course. anyone can.
Are you asking is it okay to ride a horse when they are on just hay? It is completely fine to ride a horse that is on just hay. My horse is fat as a cow and she was on all hay, no feed all summer. I rode her regularly.
No because he/she will get more sicker and sicker and sicker
You can ride the mare up until she is five months pregnant.
I would say no. Do you want your horse stopping on rocks?
Well, you can ride a horse during the spring, summer, or whenever you breed it . Just don't ride it at the last 3-4 months. A horse is pregent for 11 months.
Yes but you must wait 45-60 mins before feeding.
In the very early stages of pregnancy it is ok to ride them but i would suggest only lightly. Further along though you should not ride a pregnant horse for it may put you, your horse, and your horses unborn foal in danger.
A horse kicked my BFF and she broke 5 ribs. The force of the kick made her fly into the side of the barn. She is okay know, but she is scared of horses. Never go behind a horse.
no, you should ride in ride in the back set of a car, just in case an accident happen you and your baby have a better chance of making it out ok. also try to avoid driving.
i wouldn't. the baby could suffer from brain trauma ever heard of shaken baby syndrome? well it can happen before the baby is born as well. i wouldn't risk your health or the babys if i were you
As that was the cheapest animal so it was okay.
