The Minecraft PE Free version does NOT allow you to save. The only way to save is to purchase the full version of Minecraft PE in the App Store... Buy it for $6.99 and when you exit, it will save. Also, with the full version, there is WAY more stuff...

yes, tto save it tho you would have to go to the run in the bottom left corner and type in %appdata%, click roaming and save the .minecraft, and when you would like to play it, put the .minecraft back where you took it from.

Minecraft, both Classic and Survival versions will automatically save every few seconds by default. To manually save, simply access the pause menu by pressing Esc.
