Inmates have reported of correctional staff spitting in their food, medical staff false reports of conditions that require medical and psychiatric attention written as minor or non-critical when some conditions are truly indeed necessary for treatment. Inmates are already being punished for their crime that's why they locked up,however some who don't have a life sentence will be released back into society and inmates are still human beings even if they are viewed as the filth of society.
They were brutal by beating inmates, wipping them, hanging. Kapos where also inmates chosen by the SS to be incharge of inmates. They got special privilages like extra food. Why they beat the inmates is hard to say.

I am a Jewish inmate in a correctional facility in South Africa. I have been in prison for just under 4 years now. Every year, just before Chanukkah, I receive a visit from my Rabbi, who brings me a set of chanukkah candles, as well as a small kosher parcel as we do not receive kosher food from the prison. In total, we number 4 Jewish inmates, and I share a cell with 1 other Jew. During the festival, we both come together and take turns reciting the brocha before lighting the candles. We usually get all sorts of questions from the other inmates asking about what we are doing, and we get to share the miracle of Chanukkah with them. It has been an uphill battle, as the correctional officials did not at first want us to receive the candles as they were deemed to be a safety risk within the prison. Only with the intervention of our Chief Rabbi did we eventually win the right to observe Chanukkah in the proper way. Next battle? Proper kosher food! Wish us luck! :) My name is Nicholas Alon Pike, and you can mail me on: fluffygp@gmail.com
Being in prison can have negative impacts on inmates, including mental health issues, lack of access to education and job training, and increased risk of violence. However, it is important to note that not all inmates deteriorate in prison and some are able to find ways to cope and improve themselves while incarcerated. Rehabilitation programs and support systems can make a significant difference in an inmate's experience and outcomes.
There is no such organisation.
35lbs per month must be hermatically sealed. You can send 35 lbs a month of food in no more than 2 packages. Google Department of Corrections in NY-then go to the directives page--look for the package directive (4911) everything you can send is there. Collins has microwaves and stovetops for cooking and is considered a cooking facility. The exception is if someone is in solitary, the box or SHU. Of courses no package there except books after a couple weeks.
Inmates of the Auschwitz concentration camp were fed almost nothing, and suffered from extreme starvation. When the camp was liberated in 1945, the skeletal appearance if the surviving inmates was profoundly horrifying.
