It is currently not possible to send Bind on Battlenet Account gear (heirlooms) to another realm. This is a limitation of the mailing system as it was never meant to be cross-realm. They are working on it, it will just take some time to implement it.
The only way currently to get BoA gear to another realm is to realm transfer, which costs money.
A World of Warcraft player can discover the WoW status of his realm by visiting the home page of his realm. You could also ask others on the World of Warcraft Forum.
To play any World of Warcraft you must select a realm and make your character.
The only way to do this is to transfer your character with the gold from one realm to another and then trade it over. i should also mention that there is a limit on how much gold a character that you transfer from one realm to another can take.
