Very simple steps.
Just choose the contact you want.
Click the Contact sign (4th icon)
And on the top there are little tabs.
Click on the one with the memo pad and star (3rd one)
Then click edit and choose what ringtone you want

Yes, You can only assign personal ringtones to the contact in your phones memory. So, you have to first download that person(s) into your phone. Next you go into your contacts and select the person you want to assign the ringtone to. A menu will pop up once you highlighted their name and you will want to select the 4th icon with the person on it. Next you will want to select the icon with the star and note pad. If you scroll down you will see on the list "Ringtone" select edit on the screen and from there you can assign a personal ringtone. You can also put in their birthday, speed dial number (if you want) . Don't forget to save the changes made or you will have to do it all over again. Hope you this helps :)
